This page is meant to address certain words in the English language that I find are most often misspelled, mispronounced, just plain made up or altogether wrong. It irks me to no end that if enough people mispronounce a word, it becomes accepted that way. This must stop. Regional dialect my arse. To quote Jules from Pulp Fiction… “English motha%&*#&$, do you speak it?! What ain’t no country I ever heard of!”

Dear Great Spaghetti Monster, please!!! Make people stop misspelling “lose”.  Your shoelaces can be “loose” but you can’t “loose” your car keys.  Repeat after me… “El - Oh - Ess - Ee - LOSE” /looz/.  You bunch of “loosers”.

Realtor - it’s /reel’ tor/, NOT real-uh-turr.

Jewelry - correct= /jewel ree/ NOT joo-lah-ree

Please, do not confuse Formally with Formerly.
